Truck manufacturer AB Volvo plans to lay off 250 people at its factory in Gothenburg, southwestern Sweden.

Additionally, Volvo plans to slow down production at its Heterborg plant.

It was stated that the outages at the facility, which specializes in the production of heavy trucks, will affect consultants and temporary staff.

German automotive supplier Robert Bosch GmbH began talks with union representatives on January 18 regarding plans to cut 1,200 jobs in its software and electronics division by the end of 2026, Ukrinform reported.

The company wants to eliminate jobs in the development, sales and administrative areas of its Cross-Domain Computing Solutions division.

At the beginning of December, American automaker General Motors Co. It announced plans to lay off more than 1,300 people at two plants in Michigan.
