On Tuesday, March 12, American private space company Rocket Lab successfully launched Japanese company Synspective’s Earth-sensing satellite Strix-3 as part of its “Owl Night Long” mission.

“The launch of “Owl Night Long,” our 45th mission (with the help of a launch vehicle) Electron!”, Rocket Lab announced.
Space.com notes that Electron launched into Strix-3 at 17:03 Kiev time from a spaceport in New Zealand.
The company explained that Strix can “photograph millimeter-scale changes in the Earth’s surface from space at any time of day or night, regardless of weather conditions.”
The Owl Night Long mission was Japanese company Synspective’s fourth Rocket Lab launch.
The company’s other three missions took place in December 2020, February 2022 and September 2022.
As reported by Ukrinform, the company Rocket Lab on Sunday, February 18, successfully launched the ADRAS-J satellite of the Japanese company Astroscale, which will be used in operations to remove space debris from Earth orbit.
