The police intervention gave way to a shootout, as a result of which two people were wounded and taken to the Sousa Aguiar hospital, also located in the port area of ​​​​Rio de Janeiro.

One of the wounded received three gunshot wounds to the chest and abdomen, and his condition was assessed as serious.

A Rio de Janeiro military police spokesman initially said there were three gunshot wounds, but the department later released a statement reducing the number of injuries to two.
