Protime is expanding its offering by acquiring Sheepblue’s AI planning tool and can therefore serve multiple industries.

Protime, the Belgian time tracking leader, announces the acquisition of Sheepblue, an AI-based workforce planning software. Protime is looking to integrate this AI scheduling tool into its own workforce management platform to further expand into multiple sectors in addition to its existing AI module for retail and hospitality. Your goal? We will become the European market leader for workforce management solutions.

Personnel planning with AI

Sheepblue’s AI-based tool focuses primarily on industries where shift work is practiced. Think about logistics or production, which involves many things, such as shift changes or day and night shifts. “With the acquisition of the Sheepblue software, we have a planning tool for almost every industry. We are already the market leader in time recording and want to be the market leader in personnel planning in 3 years. And this in all countries in which our parent company SD Worx is active,” says Gille Sebrechts, CEO of Protime.

The AI scheduling tool offers several automated features. For example, it takes into account the legal framework, the chosen optimization strategy, required working hours and employee preferences. In addition, specific skills can be included in the planning and the exchange between shifts can be made more efficient.

Workforce management platform

Protime is the Belgian market leader in time recording and was already strong in personnel planning with an AI module for retail and catering. With the Sheepblue software, they want to further expand their own tool so that it can be used in all industries.

Protime plans to work hard in the coming months to integrate the Sheepblue software into their own business Workforce management platformand will be available to more than 5,000 Protime customers. “Because the process is automated, they save a lot of time in staff planning. Ultimately, it also leads to more engaged employees because they value transparency and flexibility in their work schedules,” concludes Sebrechts.
