Google engineers have just realized that overlaying part of a playing video is not the optimal solution for displaying information panels on top. For this reason, YouTube introduces a new design on Android TV This makes it easier for us to read the comments, description and details of the video while we continue watching it.
The change is so significant that it seems incredible that we did not have before: the video we watched Resized so that no part is covered with side panels information and commentary side.
Many times you are watching a video on YouTube on TV and want to read the description or full name of the video that appears cut in the listings. That’s when it comes into play information side panel. The video’s full name and description, statistics, profile link, and comments are shown here.
The problem with this side panel is that so far it was taking up a third of the screenThis is not very convenient if we want to continue watching the video at the same time. This is how the new YouTube design on Android TV was born, which resizes the image so you don’t miss anything while reading comments or diving into a video’s information.

This small change will allow you to: Continue watching the video without missing anything when reading reviews or additional information. The video resizes seamlessly with an animation, and the smaller preview features soft edges that make the result pleasing.
According to YouTube, the goal was to reduce the size of the player and simplify user interactions; but this new change opens YouTube to more lucrative concepts for Google: provides new experiences Google things like “buy products from your favorite creators” or “see live results for sports fans.”
This new design will be used on YouTube for Smart TV In the coming weeksSo until then you will always have to pause the video, turn on comments, close them and resume the video if you don’t want to miss anything.
