Cyber experts of the Security Service of Ukraine blocked the supply of components for Russian weapons, in particular parts for the production of “Shakhed” and microcircuits for cruise missiles.
As Ukrinform reports, the press service of the SBU reported this on Facebook.
“We are considering the supply chains of components of Russian weapons. One of the examples is that they have already blocked the supply of servo motors for the production of 1,600 Shahed and 4,000 microcircuits for cruise missiles,” said Ilya Vityuk, head of the SBU Cyber Security Department.
He noted that cyber experts are working on the front lines to destroy enemy EW and PER systems, as well as disrupt enemy drones coordinating missile and artillery strikes against Defense Forces.
According to him, the intelligence information obtained by DKIB helps both prevent human losses and repel cyber attacks.
“Cyber war is not something abstract and virtual. Every repulsed attack is an unacceptable attempt to harm our state and nation. Imagine: the special services of the Russian Federation hacked a soldier’s messengers and thus learned the exact place and time of the planned meeting and realized that this “The result was the arrival of the plane and dozens of deaths,” he said. Security Intelligence Service.
It is stated that during the two years of the large-scale war, the SBU repelled approximately 10,000 cyber attacks, most of which were still in their infancy. These cyberattacks had a different purpose: reconnaissance, disruption, psychological impact, or a combination of these.
Vityuk predicts that Russian special services will increase the potential for cyber attacks. But it also reminds that the SBU also conducts its own special operations in cyberspace and arranges a “cotton” enemy that destroys various military facilities.
As Ukrinform reports, during an international cyber operation, law enforcement officers stopped the operation of an international criminal hacker group that specialized in spreading the LockBit ransomware virus on the territory of Ukraine.
