Google Drive, the Google service where we host our files, continues to improve great features like the new document scanning tool. On the other hand, look at the status of the documents shown in the search engine, it also had some problems.
Recently, the Mountain View company conveyed calm with spam reaching the clouds of many users. Now, as we read on Android Authority, You will learn a new skill– organize our files into different categories.
A Google Drive with categories
When it comes to organizing that big drawer our cloud, we have several options. Although the different views of Google Drive also make it easier to find our files, we can use folders, which is the most logical and natural thing.
However, new code in the app found by TheSPAndroid suggests there might be an even simpler way: It’s “Categories,” a function that comes with 12 of the predefined ones. Among these, the following were seen:
Car
Banking
Bills
Beginning
ID
Insurance
Doctor
Pets
School
Taxes
Trips
Work

What real differences will there be between these categories and folders? Depending on the environment, these may be assigned multiple times. That is, the file in question may only be in one folder but have multiple categories assigned to it.
For example, if we upload utility bills, we can link them to categories such as “Expenses,” “Home,” and “Bills,” making them easier to find again.
This new function will be activated from the “More options” menu (the three dots icon that appears next to the files), where we will see the “Manage categories” option. Looks like it’s coming down now Android and iOS mobile applicationsbut it will also come to the desktop version (on the web).
Yes definitely, It is not known when it will happenbecause such functions are anticipated and need to be tested until they work correctly before they can be distributed to general use.
