Engineers from Kharkiv have developed an unmanned tracked vehicle to clear areas of mines. The first machine has already been tested and delivered to the pyrotechnic units. There are currently two similar machines in production.

“The development and production of demining equipment is a positive example of cooperation between business, government and international partners with the aim of creating competitive Ukrainian-made products,” said Ihor Bekaravainy.

The advantage of the domestic mine-clearing machine over foreign analogues is its simplicity, which allows quick repairs in case of explosion of explosive objects. The cost of a car is 134,000 euros, which is significantly less than the foreign analogue, which can cost more than 500,000 euros.

The mine clearing machine is easy to manufacture, operate, maintain and repair. It uses mechanisms that allow you to easily repair and replace any part of the mechanism, even if it is damaged by an anti-tank mine.

Kharkiv-made equipment works remotely from a distance of 300 meters, without posing any threat to people. A remote control is used to control the vehicle. The total weight of the machine is 16 tons and the operating speed is 3-4 km/h.
