WhatsApp messenger team is testing text editing feature. This feature should appear in beta versions of Android, iOS and PC apps. Interestingly, the developers announced it 5 years ago, but gave up on their plans within a few days. However, the issue of editing messages has come to the fore again and now this feature is available.

According to the profile resource WABetaInfo, the edit button has already appeared in some members of the WhatsApp for Android program. The new feature allows you to make changes to the text portion of the message by holding it down and selecting the appropriate menu option.

It is unclear whether users will be able to edit their text messages at will, or if this will take some time. There are no restrictions at this stage, but with the implementation of this feature of the stable version of WhatsApp, everything can change. In the near future, users of the beta version of the application for iOS and PC will be able to edit messages.
