ServiceNow has expanded its generative AI offering by introducing new features in the Washington, DC version of the platform. These developments aim to improve Now Assist experiences by providing responsible, intelligent automation integrated into the ServiceNow platform. Specific updates include Now Assist for IT Operations Management (ITOM) AIOps, improvements to Now Assist in Virtual Agent, and the introduction of ServiceNow Impact AI Accelerators.

Expansion of generative AI functions

The new features are in response to companies’ growing investments in generative AI, which IDC says will rise from $16 billion in 2023 to over $143 billion in the next three years. The Washington, DC release provides companies with comprehensive solutions for broadly and effectively deploying generative AI across all departments, maximizing employee adoption and demonstrating return on investment (ROI).

Now Assist for ITOM AIOps leverages generative AI to resolve issues faster by analyzing alerts and providing essential context. Additionally, improvements to Now Assist in Virtual Agent and the new GenAI Accelerators simplify the creation of AI-driven conversations and provide an intuitive interface for workflow automation.

New tools

In addition to the focus on generative AI, the Washington, DC publication introduces new tools to optimize interactions, support business growth, and meet the changing needs of customers and employees. Key additions include Sales and Order Management (SOM), Platform Analytics, and new AIOps experiences in the Service Operations Workspace for ITOM. These innovations promote fast and effective automation of processes and contribute to an improved employee experience.

The announced innovations are part of the Now Platform Washington, DC release and will be generally available to all customers via the ServiceNow Store starting March 20.
