As noted, in the second preview of Google Android 15 for developers, the function of supporting satellite roaming for smartphones was noticed.


This is evidenced by the displayed message “automatic connection via satellite”, which involves switching the smartphone between satellite networks of different providers to maintain communication anywhere in the world. Some smartphones so far only support the sending of emergency text messages over the satellite network, while others already allow the exchange of more complex data at a certain speed.
