As an extension of the functionality introduced in December last year, WhatsApp offers you the ability to pin more messages so that they remain visible for a long time.

WhatsApp allows you to save three messages per chat pencils. When you pin these messages, they remain visible for up to 30 days. This is useful in group conversations where important information can sometimes be lost quickly. The functionality also works in regular chats.

To pin a message, long-press it until you select it. Then press the three dots in the top right and click Pen. Pinning works for all types of messages.

More than a message

The functionality was released to the general public in December last year after a testing phase. Back then you could only pin one post. Parent company Meta now decides to slightly expand the possibilities of this useful function. You can’t permanently pin a message, but the option to star messages so you can quickly find them still remains.

WhatsApp regularly experiments with new functions. Some extend core functionality, e.g. B. voice messages that can be listened to once. Other features such as innovations around the Update have more to do with Meta’s drive to turn every app into a Facebook spin-off.
