Kyndryl and Cloudflare announce a strategic partnership to improve network connectivity and security.

The IT infrastructure service provider Kyndryl (formerly IBM) and Cloudflare have joined forces in a global strategic alliance. This collaboration, building on an initial collaboration in May 2023, aims to help organizations migrate and manage networks for multi-cloud connectivity and comprehensive network security. Kyndryl’s consulting services, network and security expertise are combined with Cloudflare’s connectivity cloud.

More innovation

Since the collaboration began, several companies have turned to Kyndryl and Cloudflare for network modernization, security and performance improvement solutions, the two parties said. These customers come from industries such as sales, finance and commercial vehicle manufacturing around the world.

The partnership now focuses on innovation across technology stacks to design, build, manage and modernize critical systems, leveraging Cloudflare’s capabilities in Kyndryl’s focus areas such as network and edge and security and resiliency.

Advantages

The strategic alliance between Kyndryl and Cloudflare promises to help organizations accelerate digital maturity and network modernization, reduce the cost of private network connections and manual IT work, extend network security to offices and data centers, and optimize sustainable networks. By migrating from traditional networking hardware to Cloudflare’s cloud-based services, companies should realize significant carbon emissions savings, it said. Kyndryl previously worked with SAP to jointly offer digital transformation solutions.
