Samsung is finalizing the launch of the Galaxy M55 5G, a mid-range smartphone that will replace the successful M54 with a better screen, chipset, memory and updated software to the latest version of One UI.
A few weeks ago, the Galaxy S24 series arrived on the market as the new top of the range from the South Korean giant. But it is clear that they are not for everyone and there are other users who do not want to invest so much money or cannot. For this, Samsung has the “A” and “M” series in the market. a large number of different models for all budgets.
Leaked specifications and images of the Galaxy M55 5G talk about familiar design which the S24 strongly resembles, especially at the back and in the cameras, which abandon the typical islands and opt for individual circular modules, which is more elegant and premium looking to our taste.
It has a screen 6.7-inch Super AMOLED+ with relatively thin bezels. Its resolution is FHD+, 120 Hz refresh rate and maximum brightness rises to 1000 nits, ideal for outdoor use.
Samsung will replace its own Exynos SoC with a Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 which, without being the latest from Qualcomm, is a guarantee for a mid-range terminal. It will be combined with up to 12 GB of RAM and storage capacities of 128 or 256 GB, expandable by microSD cards up to 1 Tbyte.
The camera set is quite interesting, with the main one triple sensor which will have a 50MP wide-angle with image stabilization; 8 MP angle and 2 MP macro. The 50MP selfie camera will be placed in the typical hole in the display.
Security will be strengthened by the fingerprint sensor under the display and access to the Samsung Knox Vault platform. It will also feature Dolby Atmos support for a surround sound experience; support for two SIM cards; Bluetooth 5.2 and NFC.
The battery will have capacity 5000 mAh with 45W fast charging. It will come to the market in different color versions and with the latest One UI 6.1 layer based on Android 14. Another advantage will be the five system updates and security versions that it will have. Estimate the price between $300 and $400.
