New targets of IT army
This time the following were hacked:
Banks. Customers of many Russian banks could not use online banking and perform desired financial transactions from a smartphone.
Microfinance institutions. It was not possible to obtain microcredit due to the attacks.
trades. Russian exchanges had to cut off access abroad to withstand the onslaught of cyberattacks and continue their operations.
After the changes, DDoS attacks had to hide behind a geoblock from the app store. RuStore, launched last week. This is the Russian analogue of Google Play, which is currently called the best of all copies. Behind its creation is VK, known by the social network “VKontakte”. With a professional team of developers and designers, the company managed to create a visually acceptable service, which cannot be said about competitors.
Insurance Service. The attacks put online insurance services. The Russians failed to insure themselves.
The traditional participant of the list – Russian media. During the weekend, it was more difficult for Russians to propagate Kremlin through cyberattacks on the websites of regional broadcasts and TV channels.
It’s worth noting that on May 23 last week, the Department of Digital Affairs reported an attack on another “Google Play replacement” – the NashStore app store. Since American analogues prevented the ability to pay for purchases for Russians, Russian developers rushed to create analogues of the service for downloading programs. NashStore is now available for Android users. About a thousand applications can be downloaded. Among them are those who are subject to sanctions and expelled from foreign services.
