Maduro proposes passing a law against fascism in Venezuela

The Venezuelan government confirmed this Sunday that the President, Nicolas Madurocreated a commission for preparation anti-fascism bill that Venezuela’s Chavismo-controlled parliament would introduce a proposal “as soon as possible.”

“Maduro decided to create a High State Commission against Fascism and Neo-Fascism in order to present a bill to the Venezuelan Assembly as soon as possible. against fascism and all neo-fascist manifestations in politics and national life,” announced the country’s Vice President Delcy Rodriguez.

This commission was proposed “In response to the acts of violence that the country experienced in 2014, 2015, 2017; as well as serious consequences for the economy, sovereignty and territorial integrity of the country, which were violated by extremist factors that seized parliament in 2015 to deprive Venezuela of its resources and create internal destabilization.”

“Taking into account the international situation, the peace and stability of which are threatened by neo-fascist rhetoric festering in the centers of power serving the global North. Neither fascism nor neo-Nazism will work in Venezuela.” concluded Rodriguez through a post on his profile on the social network X.

This announcement is happening as part of the electoral process for the July presidential elections in which the opposition reported that it could not access the register to nominate its candidate, Corina Joris has been selected to replace Maria Corina Machado.who is subject to a fifteen-year disqualification confirmed by the Supreme Court.

The one who is registered is Maduro, as a candidate for the ruling United Socialist Party of Venezuela (UPVV), who condemned assassination attempts planned from the United States and Colombia.
