The case is one of several legal challenges facing Trump, 77, as he ramps up his 2024 campaign to defeat Democratic President Joe Biden.

The Republican faces three other criminal charges that center on his efforts to overturn his 2020 loss to Biden and his handling of sensitive government documents after leaving office in 2021.
