The future of Xbox is secured, Phil Spencer himself confirmed it in a recent interview, where he also said that Microsoft’s next console will mark a very important generational leap. These statements hinted that we could see deep changes at the hardware level in this new generation and that the successor to the Xbox Series with Intel processor and NVIDIA GPU.

This Next Gen Xbox with an Intel processor and NVIDIA graphics could be an important revolution, especially since switching to an NVIDIA graphics core will give you access to all the key technologies with which the green giant has been leading the sector for years.

  • NVIDIA DLSS Super Resolution, hardware-accelerated intelligent image reconstruction and scaling technology.
  • NVIDIA DLSS Frame Generation, which generates fully independent intermediate frames on the GPU and is hardware accelerated.
  • NVIDIA DLSS Ray Reconstruction, which applies an advanced and intelligent hardware-accelerated noise reduction process.
  • Higher performance in ray tracing, which could be the key to achieving the big generational leap that Phil Spencer was pointing to.

Xbox Series X

The future of Xbox looks very interesting, but unfortunately it’s not at its best right now. Sales of the console are not good and it is still clearly behind the PS5. By March 2, 2024, PS5 cumulative sales were higher 55.47 million consoleswhile combined Xbox Series X and Series S sales are 28.04 million units.

According to GamesIndustry.biz’s Christopher Dring, the Xbox’s poor sales in Europe are leading some developers to consider continuing to support Microsoft’s console, and the same is theoretically happening with some European retailers. The situation could get even worse this year because of Xbox Series sales are lower in a year-on-year comparison.

But wait, because it doesn’t end there. According to the source, the situation with Xbox has reached such a point that Microsoft would make a decision bring almost all your exclusives to PS5, a move Sony has never considered and one we don’t believe it will make in the medium or long term. Its exclusives only come to PC and in a limited way (for now).
