Samsung has confirmed that the Galaxy AI technology will not be exclusive to the Galaxy S24 and that it will also reach other smartphones of previous generations, which of course included, for example, Galaxy S23, although he did not give an exact date, we are waiting to get more information from the South Korean giant.

The wait is over. Today we know, thanks to a notice from Samsung’s Chinese division, that the One UI 6.1 update will available from March 28, and that it will be the one to bring Galaxy AI technology to the Galaxy S23. It is still unclear whether this update will be available for the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5 at the same time, but everything seems to indicate that it will be, and that the Galaxy S23 FE could also be included in this first deployment.

Samsung deploys this type of updates gradually and slowly So it’s very likely that the general rollout of this update won’t be completed until sometime in April. Once you receive this update on your device, you will be able to start enjoying all the features that Galaxy AI integrates, which, as our regular readers already know, is an artificial intelligence as a service model capable of performing advanced functions, including:

  • Audio transcript and website summary.
  • Smart search by simply touching an image.
  • Photography as well as video editing tasks.
  • Creation of various content, including templates, envelopes and more.
  • Real-time translation of calls.

Samsung said at the time that Galaxy AI would be free until the end of 2025, but We do not know if this will also apply to the Galaxy S23 and other terminals that will receive the One UI 6.1 update, or if, on the contrary, this free trial will be limited to the Galaxy S24 only. We will clear any doubts soon, although the most logical thing would be to make this service free as well. Users of these terminals will thus be able to try it for free and decide whether they are willing to pay for it in order to continue using it.
