Cognizant will use Google Cloud’s Gemini to increase the productivity of its software developers and train more than 70,000 employees on Google Cloud’s latest AI technologies.

Cognizant wants to integrate Gemini for Google Cloud with the aim of accelerating the development speed of software developers. This is achieved in two ways. First, by training Cognizant employees to use Gemini for software development. As a second step, Cognizant plans to integrate Gemini’s advanced features into internal processes and platforms.

By deploying Gemini for Google Cloud, Cognizant developers can write, test, and deploy code faster and more effectively using AI-powered tools. “This contributes to the reliability and cost-effectiveness of building and managing applications for customers,” Cognizant said.

By working together, Cognizant and Google Cloud will provide numerous benefits to enterprise customers across industries. Gemini is designed to help you build applications quickly, test code thoroughly, and resolve issues quickly to optimize performance throughout the software delivery lifecycle.

Investing in AI skills and training

Next year, Cognizant will invest in training more than 70,000 employees on Google Cloud’s AI offering as part of the Synapse initiative to train one million people worldwide by 2026. Cognizant will also integrate Gemini into its suite of automated platforms and accelerators, starting with the recently announced Cognizant Flowsource platform for developers.

Integrating generative AI capabilities into Cognizant’s internal operations and platforms will help the consulting firm gain deeper insights, optimize processes, and improve user experiences in a safe and responsible manner. Key expected benefits include improving Cognizant’s ability to analyze incident reports, quickly identify root causes and deploy solutions across its platforms.

As part of Cognizant’s plans to invest in deep AI-related capabilities, the company will establish a Gemini Studio at each of its Cloud AI Innovation Centers in Bangalore, London and Plano, Texas, to help enterprise customers conceptualize, design and scale of AI solutions. Cognizant will also establish Gemini Centers of Excellence in its new dedicated Google Cloud delivery centers in Mexico and Romania. Finally, Cognizant continues its expansion in India to accelerate customer success with generative AI solutions.
