“The solar energy system we installed on the reservoir is clean energy. The minister told reporters that it is 10 percent more efficient than the energy systems built on land.
The energy produced by the system will be used to operate the irrigation system of the region. The floating power plant will produce 1 million 806 thousand kilowatt hours of electricity annually and will be integrated into the general energy system. The amount of electricity to be produced will be enough to provide half of the energy needed to operate the province’s irrigation system.
The power plant, built on an area of 6 hectares, consists of four blocks with a total of 1,840 solar panels.
