As we already expected and can confirm on the official website of the event, WWDC 2024 will have a main note inaugural, which will begin at 7:00 p.m. (Peninsula Spanish Time) and will last for two hours. Two hours in which, as Joswiak has already slightly revealed to us, artificial intelligence will be the focus of attention. That’s interesting, since last year the focus has been mainly on hardware, especially the Apple Vision Pro, while software announcements have taken a discreet background.

But this year, it is more than likely that there will be some kind of announcement regarding the device, but tEverything indicates that iOS 18 will be the main protagonistthe next generation of the iPhone operating system, and as we have already told you in the past months, it will come with many innovations based on artificial intelligence, among which most likely the most significant change is the huge evolutionary leap of Siri, Apple’s assistant.

Traditionally, the most important event of the year for those from Cupertino was the September keynote, in which the new generation of the iPhone is presented. However, in recent years we have already experienced several occasions when this focus shifted to the developer eventas is the case with Apple Silicon in 2020 and the previously mentioned Apple Vision Pro in 2023. And while the name itself (global developer conference) seems to suggest that this is a tech profile event (and it largely is), its the presentation has a much wider scope.

This year also suggests that the renewal of the iPhone on a technical level will not be one that will go down in history.
