It was more than three years since the Xbox Cloud debutedwhich in its early days was identified with the name xCloud, and in all that time we have seen the development of Microsoft’s cloud gaming platform, a proposal that is integrated into Game Pass and which, here I speak for references from third parties, but also from my own experience, has become more than a notable feature within Microsoft’s video game subscription service.

As you already know, currently the offer of cloud gaming services is varied, but Only two services stand out from the rest. They are GeForce Now and Xbox Cloudand the really interesting thing is that they don’t really compete, but rather complement each other, since Microsoft offers access to titles from the Game Pass catalog, while NVIDIA allows you to play your own games in the cloud, ie. That is, those that you have purchased in the main digital stores and that are available on the service.

That explains it, and those who read me regularly know I’ve mentioned it before, that I’m a user of both, because as I’ve already indicated, they complement each other very well and both have far more positives than negatives. That said, they are obviously not perfect and In the case of the Xbox Cloud, there is a limitation that stretches back to its very originsand I confess that on many occasions it seemed to me a distraction from the service.

If you’re using it too, I’m sure you already know what I’m talking about, so you’ll be very glad to know Microsoft is already testing keyboard and mouse usage on the Xbox Cloud. At the moment, as we can read on his official blog, keyboard and mouse support is deployed for insiders and for now for a reduced list of games and with certain limitations, of course something understandable, because in the end and After we all talk about the fact that the novelty is still in testing phase.

For those users who don’t know, Game Pass games installed on PC can be played with both a controller and a keyboard and mouse, but Until now, the Xbox Cloud ones can only be controlled with a controller, something that may be sufficient for many games, but is a major limitation in others. For example, going back to my personal experience, and it’s something I mentioned back then, I found this limitation particularly notable when Microsoft Flight Simulator arrived on the Xbox Cloud.
