HPE integrates multiple LLMs into HPE Aruba Networking Central to give organizations faster, more accurate visibility into what’s happening in their network environment.
Generative AI is trending, including in the network industry. HPE announces new AI-powered capabilities for the Aruba Networking Central network management platform. It introduces a search engine based on LLMs that provides network administrators with insight into what is happening on the network. The new search engine is actually an “engine swap” of the network search engine that HPE Aruba introduced a few years ago.
HPE Aruba is proud to have one of the largest data pools in the networking industry. It collects telemetry data from four million managed network devices and one billion endpoints. In addition, they contain answers to more than three million questions collected over many active years in the customer base. All of these insights form the basis of HPE Aruba Networking Central’s machine learning models for predictive analysis and recommendations.
Focus on privacy
Data protection and AI security are key areas of focus for HPE Aruba. Unlike other GenAI networking approaches that simply make API calls to public LLMs, HPE Aruba Networking Central’s new autonomous LLM set comes with preprocessing and guardrails.
Sensitive data from users and customers will be deleted. At the same time, this approach also increases the speed of operation of the models, allowing network administrators to have answers to their questions within seconds.
Relief for IT administrators
David Hughes Chief Product Officer at HPE Aruba, told us more about the possibilities of generative AI in network management during the last edition of MWC. “A Natural language interface can be a great advantage for relieving IT administrators. He can now easily ask questions about a problem in natural language and have all the information he needs in no time, without having to dig through data sheets or do additional research. It is one of the ways AI can enable any administrator to become a “super administrator.”
