Apple will move iPad tablet production from China to Vietnam. This was reported by Nikkei Asia.

The American company will soon begin the production of tablets in Vietnam. Apple previously launched the iPad in China, but decided to move the order to another region. According to experts, the company decided to take such a step for the first time. This is the second largest product line produced in Vietnam after AirPods.

As known to journalists, Apple would delay iPad production due to coronavirus restrictions in China. Due to the outbreak of COVID-19 and the closure of factories, the release date of the tablets has been delayed. It has been reported that the American IT giant previously planned to move production to Vietnam, but this step was delayed due to a coronavirus epidemic in the region.

Apple has also told its suppliers to stockpile components for several months, which is not affected by the restrictions of COVID-19. This is necessary to ensure uninterrupted production of iPhone 14 series smartphones. The company has also been asked to stock components for iPad, AirPods and MacBook.
