Mark Gurman reported that Apple will introduce the new iPad Pro and iPad Air models in early May. Bloomberg. Gurman had previously suggested that the new iPads would be released in March and then April, but the dates were postponed once again.
Apple is working on updates for the “iPad Pro” and “iPad Air” models. The ‌iPad Pro‌ models will feature OLED display technology and new M3 chips, while the ‌iPad Air‌ will come in a standard 10.9-inch size and a larger 12.9-inch size.
According to Gurman, Apple’s suppliers are currently increasing the production of new iPads. Apple originally planned to release the iPad in March or early April, but it appears it’s working on “finalizing the software for the new devices.” The iPad Pro’s OLED models also require “complex new manufacturing techniques,” and Gurman said that contributed to the delay.
