The European Space Agency and South Korean company Samsung jointly developed the Galaxy Time watch, which shows the time on all planets in the solar system.
This is stated in the ESA press release, as reported by Ukrinform.
“Together with ESA, one of the biggest players in space travel, we have developed a watch face that offers Samsung Galaxy users a new and unique way to explore our solar system,” said Mario Winter, vice president of marketing at Samsung Electronics Germany.
It was noted that this clock shows the time not only of Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune, but also of the Earth.
It also helps the user see the exact position of the planets and their distance from the Earth, thanks to real-time ESA data.
To ensure maximum accuracy, Samsung worked closely with ESA experts. They helped with all the facts and statistics, including calculating time on planets with different day lengths from Earth. For example, a day on Venus lasts 243 Earth days.
Galaxy Time shows the local time on the selected planet, as well as other interesting facts like the number of satellites and even the current weather on that planet.
As reported by Ukrinform, South Korean company Samsung Electronics introduced a stylish and compact Galaxy Tab S6 Lite (2024) tablet designed for both work and entertainment.
