Which platform do you and your colleagues primarily use for video conferencing: Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Google Meet or something else? We asked our readers this question last month. Video meetings are almost part of everyday life for many employees. 169 ITdaily readers took part in the online survey.
After just a few responses, it was clear that this survey would have a clear winner. Microsoft Teams appears to be by far the most used video conferencing platform among Belgian IT professionals: 79 percent say they mainly use the platform for Microsoft. The deep integration of Teams into the Microsoft 365 suite could be a plausible explanation for this.
The competition from Microsoft Teams is in a league of its own. Zoom narrowly takes the title of “Best of the Rest” from Google Meet: 8 percent compared to 7 percent. Video meetings are in Zoom’s DNA, but the Belgian IT market has so far failed to convince the general public.
Finally, six percent use a video conferencing platform other than Teams, Zoom or Meet. Two percent choose Cisco, and we don’t know which platform they use for the remaining four percent. Possible options include Zoho, GoToMeeting, TeamViewer or Ring Central.
Every month we survey our readers about a current technology topic. Curious about the results of previous surveys? You can find the overview here.
