Since the beginning of the large-scale war with the Russian Federation, 27 thousand enemy resources on social networks have been blocked thanks to the social project “Brama”.

Yevhen Panchenko, Head of the Department of Operational Analytical Support and Analysis of Open Sources of the Cyber Police Department, said this at the Kiev Stratcom Forum 2024, Ukrinform reported, citing the ministry’s Telegram channel.

He noted that 27,000 enemy sources on various social networks were blocked thanks to “Brama” during the large-scale invasion.

Panchenko announced a major update to the “Gate” project, specifically the opening of a separate website for this project, which will be available in April and developed together with cyber police partners. According to him, among other things, there will be the opportunity to send complaints and destroy enemy propaganda.

“We are developing this project not only on the Telegram platform. We see development on other platforms and the creation of our own resources. We have a development vector, we clearly understand how to develop the “Brama” project. We are changing approaches to blocking,” said Panchenko.

The cyber police representative also emphasized the importance of countering Russian propaganda on the Internet and blocking channels that spread Russian narratives.

Let us remind you that the “Gate” project is an initiative aimed at increasing citizens’ awareness in the field of cyber security and countering the spread of enemy propaganda in the media field.

“Gateway” was created before the full-scale invasion and was initially used to prevent drug distribution, particularly through Telegram. But the large-scale war changed the direction of this project and it now helps combat Russian IPSO and propaganda.
