Semiconductor production in South Korea increased by a record 65.3% in February.

This was reported by Bloomberg, according to a report from Ukrinform.

As noted, this is the largest increase since the end of 2009.

And it probably continued into March; In the first 20 days of the month, chip exports increased by 46.5% compared to the same period last year.

In Korea, semiconductor supply volumes increased by 59% during the year, while semiconductor inventories decreased by 16.2%, indicating strong demand for these products.

Semiconductors account for the largest share of South Korea’s exports, so domestic economic growth is expected to continue, according to experts.

As reported, in early March, North Korean hackers broke into the systems of two South Korean semiconductor manufacturing companies to steal information.
