YouTube will be one of the platforms that will benefit the most from this technology and will soon introduce a new feature that will allow us skip the boring parts videos.

I think this is one of the biggest problems most content creators have these days, even those who create extremely high quality content like “Kurzgesagt – In a Nutshell”, one of my favorite channels and also one that usually rresort to indentation to extend the duration of many of your videos. This padding is done for a reason, which is that lengthening the videos helps maximize the income they can generate, although it’s clearly a double-edged sword.

Thanks to artificial intelligence, we will soon have an integrated feature on YouTube that we can activate by double-tapping the display, something that we can jump with right now for a few seconds. This is how we receive notifications “jump forward” and when we touch or click on it, it suddenly transports us to what it thinks it is the next most interesting part of the video.

It is important to be clear that it does not refer to the most interesting part of the video in general, but to the closest and most interesting part of the point where we are at that moment, which means that in the video of a certain length of this feature can lead us to several interesting places in the same video.

No doubt very interesting, although at the moment it seems that this feature will be limited to certain videos and that it will be exclusive to YouTube Premium subscribers, at least in its first phase. Perhaps Google will decide to extend it to users of the free version of its well-known video platform as well, but at the moment there is no definite indication of that, so we will have to continue to settle for the “most played” indicator.which has a similar function, although not as effective.
