The Peruvian Marxist party Perú Libre presented a job proposal (dismissal) against President Dina Boluarteformer member of the organization, after trespass his home and the Government Palace as part of a preliminary tax investigation alleged crime of illicit enrichment.
Congresswoman Margot Palacios from the group reported this on social media.
“We have just submitted a motion to remove Dina Boluarte from office due to ongoing moral incompetence due to problems with Rolex and jewelers in the exercise of the parliamentary function of political control,” Palacios said.
Most of the congressmen represent this party, as well as other leftists such as Roberto Sánchez Palomino’s Democratic Change – Together for Peru and the Arbitration Bloc – a breakaway from Peru Libre – Pación Dávila.
Raul Doroteo, a spokesman for the right-wing Popular Action party, also signed the contract.
He adds that the “serious incident” of luxury watches and jewelry, which Boluarte allegedly did not report before the National Electoral Jury (JNE), constitutes a “violation of the ethical and moral principles of the person holding the highest office in the country” and that his conduct ” violates fundamental ethical principles such as honesty and transparency.”
And that to date, neither the President nor the government has “clarified the origin of up to three Rolex watches that the press was able to capture on the President’s wrist during various official events.”
“As can be seen, the conduct of Ms. Dina E. Boluarte Zegarra constitutes a very serious incident and sufficient grounds for her vacancy to be advertised. They therefore constitute a violation of articles 38, 102 and article 118, paragraph 1, of the Political Constitution of Peru,” the vacancy proposal states.
At midnight on Friday, the prosecutor and a team of police entered Boluarte’s house and the Government Palace as part of a preliminary investigation launched on March 18 against the president for allegedly committing the crime of illicit enrichment for failing to declare the luxury watch in question.

Peruvian President Boluarte rules out leaving office and criticizes raids
Peruvian President Dina Boluarte said on Saturday afternoon that the raid carried out by prosecutors on her home and government headquarters to investigate her was an “arbitrary, disproportionate and insulting” measure, while confirming that she would end her mandate in 2026.
About 20 prosecutors and another 20 police officers raided both locations late Friday and early Saturday as part of an investigation into an alleged crime involving illicit enrichment and failure to declare possession of an expensive watch.
“This measure is arbitrary, disproportionate and offensive,” the president said in a statement this afternoon, adding that on the advice of her lawyer, she would not comment on the “matter of hours” until she faces charges.
“I came into office with clean hands and this is how I will retire in 2026,” he added. “I am not corrupt and not a thief.”
