As the main communication platform used by players and streamers, Discord has dragged on a great absence for years: the presence of a voice chat integrated into retransmission sharing. Features that some users have had access to during the last month, such as the first test, namely is finally ready for full integration into the application.
As they shared from Discord itself, the service enabled text chat on voice channels on all its platforms, offers a dedicated section in the voice channel where we can write and share all kinds of content, including text and emoticons, stickers or GIFs. In addition, as described in detail, you won’t need to join ongoing calls to participate in these chats, so we can intervene as if it were any other text channel.
As another feature, when someone in these chats posts any type of message while we are on a call, we will have new message previews with small pop-ups in the upper right corner of the application.

In fact, these voice channel chats will have the same permissions and capabilities as regular text chats, so moderators will be able to adjust their options and / or restrictions. In addition, these chats inherit the benefits of subscription-driven servers with benefits such as uploading larger files.
That, this feature is free for all servers, although it is now only available on servers for private use, we will omit servers cataloged as “communities” for now. However, according to the company, all servers will have this new text feature enabled in voice chats next 29 June.
