The ability to edit your messages seems like a must-have feature in any messenger that claims to be convenient. However, WhatsApp developers worthy of better use refused to add it.
Rumors of the feature reveal have been circulating since 2017. But better late than never – in five years WhatsApp will finally allow users to edit their text messages.
At least this was reported by the WABetaInfo portal with reference to the test version of WhatsApp. And it even provides a screenshot of how the function will work in general. The user selects the message by long pressing and selects the item to be edited from the context menu, makes the necessary edits and resends. In general, nothing that we will not see in other messengers.

It is also known that the feature will be available on all versions of WhatsApp including Android, iOS and PC. Unfortunately, it is not yet known whether there will be additional conditions for editing – for example, the ability to edit messages up to 4 hours after sending. There is no such restriction in the test version of WhatsApp, but this does not mean that they will not appear when everyone receives the update.
