This was reported by NOS citing security company ESET, Ukrinform reports.
“The Lazarus hacker group, with which US intelligence is linked to North Korea, attacked a Dutch defense company,” the statement said.
It is stated that this is part of a global attack on defense companies. Besides the Netherlands, companies in Brazil, Turkey, France and Switzerland were also affected.
It was not reported which Dutch company it was. It was also not disclosed how deeply the hackers managed to penetrate the system and whether valuable information was stolen.
As Ukrinform reports, Dutch law enforcement has shut down an online network that distributes malware in collaboration with ten countries and Europol.
People installed FluBot on their phones because they thought they were going to a website with a link in a text message where they could track their order, but in reality they were setting up a scam program.
