As part of Developer Week, the company brought three of its products to production: D1, a serverless SQL database; Hyperdrive, which extends existing databases; and Workers Analytics Engine, a Time sequences Database. These developments aim to simplify full-stack development.
D1, Cloudflare’s serverless SQL database, is now generally available with new features such as support for 10GB databases, new data export capabilities, and improved query debugging called “D1 Insights.” The service still offers a free tier in addition to the paid options.
Hyperdrive is now also generally available. It is designed to make centralized databases faster and more efficient by leveraging Cloudflare’s global network. The service is free for paying developers Workforceplan and provides support for the most popular drivers and ORM libraries.
Queues gets new features like pull-based consumers and new messaging controls. These features enable developers to efficiently manage tasks and integrate them into existing cloud infrastructure.
Workers Analytics Engine, based on the ClickHouse system, allows developers to create custom analytics. Pricing is kept simple and based on the number of data points written and read queries.
Cloudflare has plans for future features for D1, including global read replication and new dynamic query APIs. Additionally, Hyperdrive is expanded to include support for MySQL and private network connections via Cloudflare Tunnel and Magic WAN.
