The American technology company Rubrik is preparing for a public IPO. Today, Microsoft is one of Rubrik’s main shareholders.

The American category is preparing to go public. The American cloud data protection and management company already enjoys (financial) support from Microsoft, but would like to raise between five and seven hundred million dollars with this investment round. There has been a lot of speculation about Rubrik’s IPO since last summer and now it finally seems to be happening.

Rubrik is said to have consulted with various analysts regarding the IPO, who had to examine the company’s operations in order to make forecasts and growth analyzes on this basis.

Rubrik said in a filing that the company plans to list its shares on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol “RBRK.” For the fiscal year ending January 2024, the company posted revenue of $627.9 million, up 5 percent year over year. Rubrik is not yet profitable. It posted a net loss of $354.2 million. A year earlier, the net loss was $277.7 million.

Last year, Rubrik expanded its security activities by acquiring Israeli Laminar, a start-up specializing in data security for the cloud. Both companies launched their first joint offering, Enterprise Proactive Edition, this month. This week saw the addition of a strategic partnership with Crowdstrike to support the Falcon XDR platform within the Security Cloud category.
