China launches a new remote sensing satellite into Earth orbit

The Long March-2D launch vehicle carrying the Yaogan-42 01 satellite (Yaogan-42 01) was launched from Xichang Cosmodrome in southwestern Sichuan Province at 06:56 local time (1:56 Kiev time) and successfully delivered the satellite to a spaceport. Delivered. Earth orbit was given.

The purpose of the new spacecraft is not specified in the message, but it is known that the Yaogan family satellites are used to research sea and land resources, evaluate the efficiency of agriculture, prevent natural disasters and eliminate their consequences.
