It has happened to all of us at some point and the truth is this There are few things more annoying than to find that the internet has suddenly stopped working. It’s a big problem and it can get worse if we don’t know what to do. Fortunately, in most cases, this is a situation that we can solve in a simple way, and it usually doesn’t take more than a few minutes.

I know internet connection issues are one of the headaches the most common and what bothers you the most, That’s why I decided to prepare this guide, in which I will share with you five very easy solutions that can be put into practice, which are also very effective in solving errors and mistakes that can leave you without the Internet.

To make this guide as useful as possible for you, I decided to organize a list of solutions starting with the most effective and easy to applyand escalate to those that are effective, but putting them into practice is a bit more complicated. If one doesn’t work for you, I recommend trying another one, although it’s best to check that the service is working and that the problem isn’t with your ISP before you touch anything.

1.- Restart the router and the device, it can fix your internet connection

In fact, this is one of the solutions more basic and at the same time more “miraculous” which exist. I have experienced rare situations in this sense, but I will tell you one that particularly impressed me and fully alerted me to the importance of this solution.

A few years ago, when I had an internet connection with a defunct ONO, I started running into problems playing online. At first it was just small latency fluctuations that were annoying, but I was able to play without too many headaches. These are the steps we need to take to clear the cache:

• We press the Windows key.
• We write “cmd” and enter the first result.
• Now we have to type the command “ipconfig /flushdns” without quotes, press enter, let it work and that’s it.

I know some people find it a little scary to mess around with the Windows command console, but in this case, you don’t have to worry about anything. This command is completely safe and it works perfectly. I haven’t had to use it much as a normal router reboot has worked for me in most cases, but I can confirm that it came in very handy on two occasions.

3.- Perform a security check for malware

Over the years and improvements made in both operating systems and real-time antivirus, the impact of malware has decreased, but it is still a serious problem which can leave us without internet. I recall a particularly interesting case that struck me a few years ago involving a family member who was barely computer literate.

He got carried away by a window that told him he could get a free ride. He followed all the steps required of him to complete the registration process and access his prize and finally won a huge malware infection that made your computer almost unusable. He was able to boot into Windows and at first everything seemed normal, but it slowed down and only allowed him to access a web page that displayed an ad for medication.

In fact, I remember one in particular where I was quite upset because I was running out of options and the end of this tool saved me.

To use the troubleshooter just follow these steps:

• Press the Windows key.
• Write “solve other problems”.
• Click “Start” where the Network and Internet section is located.
