The DOK-ING MV-4 light demining machine, assembled and partially localized in Ukraine, was tested at the pyrotechnics site.

This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Economy, Ukrinform reported.

“For the first time, the tests were carried out in accordance with the experimental project (Decision No. 271) developed by the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine and approved by the government on compulsory certification of mechanized demining equipment,” the message said.

It is stated that the MV-4 passed tests in three types of soil (sand, gravel, black soil), in areas with dense vegetation, and in survival tests – a series of explosions of about 600 grams of TNT equivalent. After the tests, certification will be carried out.

Large-scale assembly of the MV-4 mine clearing machine is carried out by the Ukrainian company A3tech, which has been cooperating with the Croatian manufacturing company DOK-ING since 2020. The local share in the tested vehicle was 15%. Ukrainian experts produced the working shaft and elements of the working body of the machine. Manufacturers plan to increase the local production rate to 25-30 percent by the end of the year.

“Localization and scaling of production will allow not only to produce, maintain and promptly repair DOK-ING machines in Ukraine, but also to create additional employment. This is both the development of our economy and the increase of humanitarian demining opportunities. In addition, this is for foreign investors “It is a signal that projects can be implemented in Ukraine despite the war Russia has waged against us,” he said. First Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine, Minister of Economy Yuliya Svyridenko.

As reported, there are more than 170,000 square meters in Ukraine. km of potentially contaminated areas requiring inspection for the presence of mines and explosive objects. A significant part of these is agricultural land. To return them to circulation as soon as possible, the Ministry of Economy will introduce in April a state program that will compensate farmers for the costs of clearing agricultural land from explosive objects and reimburse 80% of the funds required for demining.

MV-4 is a lightweight robotic machine for demining and destruction of explosive objects. The machine can clear an area of up to 1,500 square meters of mines in one hour. It is controlled by remote control with a range of up to 1500 m.
