Looking Glass introduced a “holographic” display format

Looking Glass, a holographic imaging company, has begun promoting its new 3D image format. Its feature is that such images can be obtained from the ordinary, and then embed any web page.

There are already several examples of such images on a special site, where you can leave an email address for early access to the conversion function.

Such “holograms” use dozens of flat images from different angles and turn them into a virtual diorama likeness. This image can be rotated with the mouse and the finished files take between 2 and 50 MB. Declared support for Unity engines, Unreal Engine and Blender 3D editor. And in the near future, support for C4D, Zbrush, Procreate, nerfies and mobile portrait mode is planned to be added.

Separately, the new format does not require special screens, it can work on regular monitors. Previously, more than $2 million was raised for the production of the holographic display View Glass Portrait. Source
