State Intelligence Service experts carried out a comprehensive check on the technical protection status of ARMA information, as well as the preparedness of the National Agency systems against cyber threats.
This was reported by the press service of the National Exploration and Asset Management Agency (ARMA), Ukrinform reports.
“At the initiative of the Agency, State Special Communications experts carried out a comprehensive review of the state of technical protection of information in information and communication systems, as well as the security and readiness of ARMA systems to counter cyber threats, the state of rapid response to cyber threats. Cyber incidents, their prevention and detecting,” reads the message.
Based on the audit results, the current state of the technical protection of the organization’s IT infrastructure, possible ways to improve it and priorities for future work in this direction were outlined.
It is emphasized that joint work makes it possible to prevent threats to state-important information from occurring.
As Stanislav Petrov, ARMA’s deputy head for digital development, digital transformations and digitalization, noted, timely detection of gaps will contribute to strengthening the stability of the functioning of the National Agency’s information infrastructure.
“We are working with a large database of the Unified State Register of Assets seized in criminal proceedings, and developing a secure network of information exchange with other state institutions and the protection of ARMA’s registration and information and communication systems are our priority,” said Petrov.
Reportedly, Russian hackers working on the staff of special services tried to infect the military communications systems “Nettle”, “Delta”, “Grizelda” and “Graphit” of the Armed Forces and the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine with malware.
