The second meeting of the IT Coalition Steering Group took place in Luxembourg; At this meeting, participants received information about the status and priorities of current procurements for 2024.

The press service of the Ministry of Defense reported this, Ukrinform reported.

“The second meeting of the IT Coalition Steering Group took place in Luxembourg, where representatives of eleven participating countries, seven observer countries, the EU and NATO came together. At the meeting, participants received information about the status of current procurements and priorities for 2024. In addition, the IT coalition “participants and observers have worked on a roadmap for procurement planning in 2024 and beyond. This roadmap allows participants’ contributions to be better coordinated and planned.” message is read.

As noted, the IT Coalition Steering Group created four thematic expert groups to exchange expertise. Several countries, including Estonia and Luxembourg, have announced further financial contributions to the IT Coalition.

According to Ukrainian Deputy Minister of Defense Kateryna Chernogorenko, all contributions from international partners help meet the critical needs of the Ukrainian military and IT infrastructure. He invited more countries to join this initiative and not stop supporting Ukraine.

Estonia’s Deputy Minister of Defense for Policy Planning, Tuuli Duneton, stated that the IT coalition is an important part of supporting Ukraine as it helps strengthen its technological advantage on the battlefield. He expressed hope that more countries will join the coalition and that the coalition will receive additional contributions.

“Since the Steering Group meeting in February, we have managed to accelerate procurement processes. We have placed the first orders, and the first deliveries are on the way. Technology can change the game and have a direct impact on operations. That is why the IT Coalition and its activities are important and why we continue to invite countries to participate ” concluded Luxembourg’s National Armaments Director, Colonel Guy Hoffmann.

The BT Coalition is a special group of states within the Ukrainian Defense Contact Group (“Ramstein format”), led by Estonia and Luxembourg, focused on providing support to the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense and the Ukrainian Armed Forces. in the field of IT, communications and cybersecurity.
