Technology company Hewlett Packard Enterprise has officially separated from the Russian Federation and Belarus.
This was announced in a Telegram by the Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov, Ukrinform reported.
“More than two months ago, HPE suspended operations in these countries, but now it has become clear to the company management that business and high technology can have nothing to do with war and the Middle Ages,” Fedorov said.
He noted that while the CEOs of the world’s leading technology companies came to Ukraine, and even despite the war they were planning to open an office with, Russia was “descending rapidly, turning into a hopeless desert, and even taking Belarus with it.”
“The past will never beat the future, and Russia will win over Ukraine,” said the official.
A full-scale Russian invasion was reportedly launched on February 24. They are bombing and destroying important infrastructure, using artillery, rocket-propelled grenades and ballistic missiles to heavily bomb the residential areas of Ukrainian cities and villages.
From the first days of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, international allies and partners have imposed tough sanctions on the Russian economy as well as export restrictions. Many companies announced the end of business in Russia and their withdrawal from joint projects.
