Ukraine’s Ministry of Digital Transformation is launching the “Keep Ukraine in Touch” project, in which international partners will help restore the Internet in Ukraine.
According to Ukrinform, this was reported by the press service of the ministry in Telegram.
It was noted that operators continue to provide daily services where possible and restore Internet access for Ukrainians. To help provide faster Internet access to all settlements, the Ministry of Finance is launching the “Keep Ukraine in Touch” project.
International partners will help operators purchase the necessary equipment to reconnect in Ukraine. The first equipment will begin to arrive in Ukraine in mid-April. This is an entirely voluntary initiative of volunteers who make every effort to maintain Ukrainians’ access to important information.
The project is implemented by the Global NOG Alliance with the participation and support of the Ministry of Finance, industry associations of the Rightsholders and Content Providers Association, the Ukrainian Internet Association and DEPS.
On February 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin launched a full-scale invasion of Ukraine. The attacker’s troops bombard and destroy the main infrastructure, intensively shelling the residential areas of Ukrainian cities and villages using artillery, rocket-propelled grenades and ballistic missiles.
Martial law was declared in Ukraine and general mobilization was declared.
