Kobo has been able to hold its own in the eReader market thanks to its good work, a space in which we have seen how many other companies have not been able to compete with the Amazon Kindle ecosystem. This in itself is a fairly clear indicator that we are talking about a very interesting proposal and that it has also managed to stand out from the rest of the market, especially Amazon, in such a difficult market.

Traditionally, we’ve always associated the eReader with an e-ink device with a grayscale screen, because that’s traditionally how it’s always been. However, in recent years we have seen how to do it some manufacturers tried to make the leap to colorin some cases with a quite defensible result, but also in others that, admittedly, would have been better if they had never crossed the drawing board, or in some cases not even that.

On this occasion, we have reasons for optimism, precisely because of what I indicated earlier, that is, because of the extensive experience of the brand and the more than proven solvency of its devices, which is Kobo has just announced its first two color e-readers, the Kobo Libra Color and the Kobo Clara Colortwo devices that are based on existing models but are updated to include a Kaleido 3 color e-ink display with a density of 300 dpi in grayscale and 150 dpi in color representation.
