New processor and hardware that stands out in the middle class
Xiaomi continues to develop its middle class with new mobile phones that pay special attention to the balance of quality and price. Redmi Note 13 is the standout in this segment, but that doesn’t mean there isn’t room for more phones. Redmi Turbo 3 could be the opening of a very productive family.
Starting with the display, the new phone joins the trend of 6.67-inch AMOLED panels and 120 Hz refresh rate, but with two details not usually found in the mid-range: Up to 2,400 nits maximum brightness Vision and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection for HDR10+ or Dolby content. There is nothing bad.
We said it had a new processor, and it does: the Redmi Turbo 3 is one of the first models to equip the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3, a high-end SoC that sits between the more powerful Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and the previous Snapdragon. 8. Gen 2, 2022. Also mobile offers Up to 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB UFS 4.0 storage. No one can say this is middle class, quite the opposite.
Xiaomi is abandoning filler cameras in favor of a dual camera module. Prime offers 50 megapixel sensor with mechanical OIS and electronic EIS stabilizationanother element not common in the midrange. The wide-angle camera is based on an 8-megapixel sensor. And to top it off, the Redmi Turbo 3 packs a 20-megapixel front camera.
It’s time to review the battery: it offers the usual 5,000 mAh, but 90W super fast charging (and charger included in the box). With the optical fingerprint sensor under the screen, stereo speakers, NFC and even an infrared emitter, the Redmi Note 3 comes quite complete.
Price and availability of Xiaomi Redmi Note 3
The handset has just been launched in China and will remain there for now. It wouldn’t be strange if it arrived in Europe converted into another model (perhaps the basis for the expected POCO F6 instead of the Redmi K70E), but nothing is known at the moment. As for the prices, they are as follows.
- Redmi Note 3 12/256GB. 257.44 euros (1,999 yuan) at the exchange rate.
- Redmi Note 3 12/512 GB. 296 euros (2,299 yuan) at the exchange rate.
- Redmi Note 3 16/512 GB. 322 euros (2,499 yuan) at the exchange rate.
- Redmi Note 3 16GB/1TB. 360.47 euros (2,799 yuan) at the exchange rate.
