Locking your smartphone screen prevents others from accessing your messages, contact lists, or applications if you lose the device or leave it lying around. So it is a good security practice. The advancement of biometric identification technology has created new ways to unlock your smartphone.

Which method is best is debated. Classic methods such as a pattern or a PIN code have the disadvantage that they can be forgotten and are less secure than biometric data. Stealing a person’s fingerprint or facial expression is much more difficult than guessing a PIN code.
