Acer has renewed its notebook catalog with two models Acer Nitro 14 and Nitro 16which use AMD’s latest processors for notebooks, the Ryzen 8040, as the biggest innovation.

Acer Nitro 14 is the most interesting to our taste. As we said yesterday about the Predator Helios Neo 14, this size 14.5 inches It is ideal when finding a balance between portability, performance and display capacity. The manufacturer offers a choice of two IPS panels, the basic FHD and the second WQXGA (2560 x 1600 pixels) with support for 100% of the sRGB color gamut and a refresh rate of 120 Hz.

Ryzen processors from AMD are the protagonists of its interior with the option of installing Ryzen 5 or Ryzen 7 8845HS eight cores. In addition to integrated Radeon graphics, the manufacturer mounts dedicated NVIDIA graphics up to RTX 4060 with 8 GB of dedicated memory. You can equip up to 32 GB of RAM and 1 Tbyte Gen4 SSD for internal storage.

It has a rich offer of functions connectivity such as the Wi-Fi 6E wireless standard, USB4 ports, USB 3.2 Type C, two more Type A (one with offline charging), HDMI 2.1 and a microSD card reader. Its sound system is powered by DTS:X Ultra Audio and has an HD webcam with three microphones that uses artificial intelligence technology to optimize video calls.

The control center of the device remains at the user’s fingertips thanks to the improved Predator Sense 5.0 user application. Users can choose from four operating modes for gaming, control fan speed and monitor device performance with one click, and it also lets you customize the keyboard’s 3-zone RGB lighting to suit your style and preferences.

Acer Nitro 14 (model AN14-41) will pre-install Windows 11 and will be available in Spain in June for 1,199 euros.

Nitro 16

The Taiwanese firm has also renewed the top model with 16 inches, although it has not announced a launch in Spain. Very similar in design to the previous one, although it uses its larger size to increase the number of ports or add a numeric keypad, it sports a 16-inch WQXGA (2560×1600) IPS screen with a brightness of 500 nits and a refresh rate of 165 Hz.

It has a Ryzen 9 8945HS processor, up to 32GB DDR5 RAM, up to 2TB SSD and NVIDIA graphics up to RTX 4060. It will be available in some regions in May for a base price of $1,399.
