Corsair introduces new WS DDR5 RDIMM ECC memory for workstations

Corsair has announced its entry into the workstation memory market, doing so with the new WS DDR5 RDIMM ECC kitswhich are designed to work perfectly with the fourth generation Intel 7970X.

The new memory kits introduced by Corsair are available in capacities up to 256 GB, which means we have enough capacity to meet the needs of even demanding professionals in a variety of tasks such as high definition content editing, rendering and artificial intelligence. All kits feature ECC (error correction) technology, making them viable in scientific environments and for repeat testing where the slightest error is unacceptable.

All Corsair WS DDR5 RDIMM ECC kits support Intel XMP 3.0 and AMD EXPO profiles, i.e. we can overclock them with a simple click and enjoy a higher level of performance and better set latency. Since they are DDR5, they have a PMIC chip that is responsible for power management.

To keep the generated heat under control, the American giant introduced a PGS layer, which is responsible for distributing the heat generated around the PMIC chip, and also used passive cooling system which ensures contact with all memory chips, something essential for the modules to maintain constant performance and overall stability even under intense load.

Corsair’s new WS DDR5 RDIMM ECC kits are available in 4 x 16GB (64GB) packages, which would allow us to enable a four-channel 8 x 16GB (128GB) memory configuration, with which we could enable an eight-channel memory configuration, 4 x 32 GB (128 GB) and 8 x 32 GB (256 GB). Their frequencies can reach maximum 6400 MHzoptimal level for use with fourth-generation Intel Xeon processors and AMD Threadripper 7000 processors. They are now available on the official Corsair website.
